Joyent Supports hi5 and Open Social
MARIN COUNTY, CALIFORNIA – March 13, 2008: Expands Social Networking partnerships by providing free Accelerators optimized for the Open Social platform.

Every app in the Joyent Connector suite shares the same basic layout: groups, tags, access, and notify on the left, a list of items in the selected group on the right. The tabs across the top allow you to switch between apps.
Comments can be added to any item in the system, including files, contacts, events, and email messages. Attach a photo or icon to your user account and it will show up alongside any comments you leave.

Tags, access control, and notifications are all handled by tags you assign using these three tab panels.

The Connect App’s Workspace allows you to monitor any smart group, folder, calendar, inbox, or list in a fully customizable single view.

Start typing the name or email address of a recipient in a new mail message and Joyent Mail displays a list of auto-complete suggestions culled from your contacts in Joyent People.

Joyent Calendar’s list view provides controls that allow you to specify the range of dates in the list.

Contacts in Joyent People can be imported from and exported to the industry-standard vCard format.

Web-based file sharing allows you to upload and download files from any computer, anywhere.

Smart groups allow you to collect related items based on criteria such as tags and the owner of the item.
